Sustainability sits at the heart of our business ethos and corporate social responsibility agenda. In line with the United Nations SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), our efforts both within and outside the scope of our projects have been geared towards energy efficiency, supply chain transparency, improvement of livelihoods, and gender equality.
In charting a sustainable growth path for our people, our partners, and our planet, the environmental sustainability of our operations, our projects, and our supply chain also remains a key priority for our group. Over the next few years, Sogelec will be setting stringent targets and an action plan in this direction, focusing on renewable energy generation, carbon footprint reduction, and sustainable and transparent sourcing practices.
We maintain a resolute commitment to safeguarding the wellbeing of our employees and workers in our everyday operations. In this direction, we have formulated and strictly adhere to a number of OHS (Occupational Health & Safety) policies that ensure our service excellence and timely delivery go hand in hand with the safety and wellbeing of our employees. Since our establishment, our efforts have been geared toward the provision of an enabling, productive, and healthy growth environment for our people. We operate under strict OHS processes, regulations, and frameworks; conduct stringent equipment and on-site maintenance activities; and continuously educate our employees on our OHS measures and processes to ensure prevention and protection against potential hazards in the workplace.
Building on the power of partnerships, we have set out to bridge the disconnect between different MEP ecosystem players across stages – from capacity building, to knowledge exchange, to supply chain management, to project management and delivery – in shaping more collaborative and future-proof models for the industry. In our drive for service excellence, our focus remains on world-class quality control and assurance frameworks and processes. In accordance with ISO 9001:2008 standards, Sogelec has developed an internal ISO project and quality management system. The project aims to ensure the company’s regular and diligent development, implementation, monitoring, and assessment of quality assurance and control processes both within its internal operations and across its supply chain.
In line with rigorous guidelines stipulated by ISO 9001:2008 and its own quality management system, Sogelec has heavily invested into understanding the requirements and needs for each of its clients and projects, and has tailored its quality control and assurance policy accordingly.
The policy details a high-level code of conduct and professionalism for services provided by Sogelec employees, partners, and on-site workers; sets out best practices in the field; and enforces objectives and targets against which service and project delivery are measured and assessed on a continuous basis.
The policy itself is also reviewed on an annual basis in keeping pace with most recent industry developments, benchmarks, and best practices.
